NEW DELHI: UK's BP Plc may have paid USD 1.5 billion for a stake in just one Krishna-Godavari basin gas discovery block of Reliance Industries as part of its landmark USD 7.2 billion deal with the Mukesh Ambani-run firm.
Europe's second biggest oil firm is paying Reliance USD 7.2 billion for a 30 per cent stake in 23 exploration areas, most notably the eastern offshore natural gas-producing KG-D6 field, besides the D3 block in the KG Basin and NEC-25 block in the Mahanadi Basin, which are also gas discovery blocks. much more

NEW DELHI: Responding to the allegation that it has spared some influential figures in the 2G spectrum scam case, the CBI on Thursday told the Supreme Court that investigation into the alleged involvement of Reliance ADAG and Tata Tele Services was not over yet.
The concern that CBI has been selective in prosecuting those allegedly involved in the mega scam also led the SC bench of Justices G S Singhvi and A K Ganguly to state that no influential person will get immunity. Petitioner NGO 'Centre for Public Interest Litigation" through advocate Prashant Bhushan made a strong pitch in the court for a special investigation team saying CBI had only named employees of Reliance ADAG. He said the agency did not name ADAG head Anil Ambani despite having questioned him.
